this sort of captures the way i've been feeling lately. the mood of mid winter. of january. of birthdays quickly approaching. of gazing out the window and trying to navigate the landscape of your own mind.
the sun is out today, though. it tricks the mind and reminds you of what is coming soon. thinking of how far i have gone and how much is left to go.

ooh...some absolutely lovely pics that I have to go browse through now...
winter has been a strange season for us this year...yes, I am growing tired of the cold, but we haven't had a really good storm yet. you know, one that gets the children all really excited and you know you will be hibernating in a warm house while snow keeps piling up? just need one, and then I am good to move one :)

katy, i know, it is so hard to narrow down on flickr. there is sooo much wonderful work... as you know, one of those i found through you!
sam- it was like that for several years in nyc... we never had a really big snow! if it is cold you should have atleast one good one. here, it doesn't really snow. we had one itty bitty snow and they shut everything down! so i had my cozy snow days i guess. i know that no more is coming, so i am ready for spring! hope you get yours! i thought there was a lot of snow up there this year?
